We have assigned to our practice
several of the local team of health
visitors. They work together and
assign mothers to be to the team
member who will suit best the needs
of the mother.
There is a session within the
practice on Thursday dinnertime at
approximately 12:30 through to
14:30. This is a drop in session and
is intended for well babies for baby
weighing, feeding issues, concerns
about vaccinations, general concerns
and some development checks.
The formal six week development
checks and baby immunisation
sessions loosely overlaps with this
session in order to allow mothers
the convenience of seeing all people
easily at one slot where possible.
On some occasions due to internal
space difficulties within the
practice these issues are done on a
Tuesday Dinnertime
It is important to bear in mind that
for ill babies you may be advised to
return later to be reviewed by the
doctor as one is not necessarily
available all the time at this
session.
